Punong Ginoong Eduardo Contreras Aceron Sr., born on February 7, 1951, is The Ampoón Basal II of Banwa Mait, a distinguished public figure whose life has been marked by unwavering dedication to his community, integrity in leadership, and a profound commitment to the progress of Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro. As the fourth son of Mariano Orosa Aceron and Felipa Sejera Contreras, he is a direct descendant of the Maginoo of Mindoro (Mait), inheriting a lineage of service and responsibility that shaped his calling from an early age. He succeeded his aunt, The Ampoón Basal Punong Ginang Elizabeth Contreras Villas, assuming the position as The Ampoón Basal II and continuing the lineage of leadership within Banwa Mait.

His educational journey began at Bulalacao Central School and continued at Holy Infant Academy, institutions that nurtured both his character and his desire to serve. He later completed his higher education with a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, a field perfectly aligned with the public vocation he was destined to pursue.

For nearly three decades, The Ampoón Basal II Eduardo devoted himself to public service, earning a reputation for fairness, discipline, and steady leadership. He first served as Municipal Councilor, advocating for legislative measures that improved the daily lives of his constituents. His leadership expanded as Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, where he helped chart long-term strategies for sustainable growth and modernization in Bulalacao. He also served the community as a Notary Public, providing trusted legal and civic services.
